| The TIGER Rover was designed and built by sixteen students in a senior design project class in the Auburn University Electrical and Computer Engineering Department during Spring semester, 2004.. The goal of the project is to build a remotely operated vehicle that can be driven over a wireless internet connection within the ECE Building (Broun Hall)and can carry a 100-pound payload. The rover will be driven through the wireless internet in the building from another computer and features two-way audio and video communication to a command post. The driver will be able to view where he/she is going through a remotely operated webcam mounted on the rover. For safety, the rover is designed with onboard emergency shutoffs and sensors for collision detection. | |
